    20 Tweets in 20 Minutes

The year 2014 marks the 20th year that Patrick Brundage has worked in the industry. His session, “20 Tweets in 20 minutes” is a unique perspective to share the hard won lessons from this incredible 20-years journey encompassing several evolutionary & revolutionary changes in the industry. The lessons will revolve around five key themes - building a great team, project success, analytics through the eyes of non-analyst, careers, and future milestones. The session will culminate with Patrick’s opinion & recommendation on improvement opportunities in each of these areas.

IC Design for Effective Alignment with Call Planning

Asheesh Sharma, Principal at Axtria & head of Axtria’s Commercial Operations and Technology Services practice, will discuss the critical linkages between Call Planning and Incentives. Overall, as an industry, many companies continue to strive for aggressive Call Plan Compliance (“CPC”) attainments, however, field behavior is more driven by incentive compensation attainments. Misalignment between these measures can cause confusion, distrust, and conflict. Asheesh will discuss IC design, modeling, and operational enhancements and resulting benefits.

Measuring the Value of Providing Call Plans to Field Sales Teams

Peter Koniaris of Daiichi-Sankyo and Chet Baboor from Axtria will partner to deliver a highly informative and interactive session on the significance of providing call plans to reps. Based on a real experiment, this talk will explore answers to several fundamental questions such as - How valuable are call plans to the field reps? How would the reps perform if we did not provide any call plans (compared to those who have a call plan)? Do we facilitate the reps to build their own call plans? What type of products and reps may need call plans? What if we did not measure any adherence (would we get more accurate call activity data)?
