Axtria is delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring and participating in the Pharmaceutical Management Science Association’s (PMSA) annual conference. This will be Axtria’s ninth year attending and we are eager to explore this year’s theme: “Designing the Future of Analytics in Biopharma.”
The conference takes place Sunday, April 14 to Wednesday, April 17. It is recognized as the premier educational and networking event for marketing analytics professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. We are looking forward to the informative presentations, as well as engaging discussions across all aspects of pharma commercial planning and operations.
Axtria has a lot of conference activities planned: thought-leading presentations, an educational conference tutorial, engaging poster presentations, innovative showcases, and lots of networking opportunities!
On Sunday, as part of the pre-conference agenda, Axtria’s David Wood, Ph.D., Senior Principal, and Sravan Kumar Bhamidipati, Director, will be leading an educational tutorial on “Applications for Data Science in the Pharmaceutical Industry.” This tutorial will cover an overview of data science, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). In addition, David and Sravan will share detailed case studies, including a Random Forest application, a "Next Best Action" example, an RF model application for overall resource optimization, and a case study predicting patient adherence/non-adherence for intervention.
On Tuesday, Axtria’s Ketan Walia, Senior Associate, and Rushil Goyal, Associate, will be presenting on “Automated Detection of Adverse Drug Reactions Using Social Media Text Data Leveraging Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.” In this session, Ketan and Rushil will provide an automated ML-based framework. This enables spontaneous adverse drug reactions (ADR) detection using advanced deep learning and natural language processing techniques leveraging social media data.
Later in the day, Axtria’s Devesh Verma, Principal, will be a panelist in the session on “Analytics Applications Across Functions & Career Path for Analytics Professionals.” Scheduled from 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m., it will be most interesting to hear what the industry experts have to say on this topic.
On Wednesday at 8:15 a.m., Axtria’s Ashish Sharma, Principal, and Kaiwen Zhong, Project Lead, will be co-presenting with Daniel Kinney, Sr. Director, Data and Analytics Platforms at Janssen Pharmaceuticals. This trio will be sharing their views on “Industrializing Machine Learning in Pharma: Challenges, Use Cases, and ROI.” Their presentation will shed light on the current landscape and future value creation of AI/ML in pharma management, analytics, and ultimately, patient outcomes.
In addition to Axtria’s general session presentations, we will be exhibiting two thought-provoking posters. Ashish Sharma, Principal, and Rajesh Choudhary, Associate Director, will be presenting “Is Data Fabric the Future for Data Lakes?” and Brian Gibbs, PhD., Principal, Rishi Shrivastava, Senior Manager, and Moshe Rosenwein, Deputy Director of Commercial Analytics at Bayer will be presenting a poster on “A Machine Learning Approach to Customer Acquisition.”
