Axtria Plans To Expand India Operations And Recruit Over 1,000 People In Data Science, Software Development, And Data Engineering

Axtria Inc., a global leader of award-winning cloud software and data analytics for the life sciences industry, has announced its plans to recruit over 1,000 people in data science, software development, and data engineering in the next eight months across its office locations in the country. The expansion plans closely follow the increasing demand for data-driven analytics solutions and the adoption of AI technologies among life sciences businesses across the globe.

Manish Mittal, Head of Global Delivery at Axtria, said, “Over the past 13 years, Axtria has made a conscious choice to provide data insights to the businesses in the life sciences industry. We are transforming healthcare via an AI-driven approach with the most advanced, personalized content and message delivery for globally leading healthcare companies. We are investing ahead of time in people, technology, and processes. Our expansion plans and the demand for new roles offer excellent opportunities for those passionate about solving bigger, more complex problems.”

Shikha Singhal, Head of People Practices, Axtria, said, “The next five years will be transformational for talent in data science. The candidates with the right skills, specifically in unstructured problem-solving and productionizing end-to-end machine learning environments, are poised to be at the forefront of revolutionizing business outcomes with always-on, real-time, and personalized insights.”

The need for advanced data science in life sciences is more pressing now than ever. It is predicted that by 2030, more drug discoveries will be made using AI-controlled simulations in collaboration with academia. Axtria plays a crucial role in helping pharma companies make better decisions about drug discovery, patient identification, and offering customized solutions to patients.

Speaking about the plans to increase office space with new offices scheduled for launch at Pune and Hyderabad, Manish Mittal said, “It is a relief to transcend from the silos of the virtual world to in-person celebrations and connections. The realization that the office was never about “work” hit us hard. The office is about “culture,” and culture is built and experienced when we work together in person, have coffee breaks, indulge in corridor conversations, and make new friends, and so on!  Without this, “work” lacks fun and learning. At Axtria, we are aware of holistic wellness and are expanding our office presence with the benefit of Axtrians in mind. For example, in Pune, we will soon launch two offices in Hinjewadi and Kharadi to offer ease of commuting and work-life balance.”

Axtria recently expanded its presence to Noida and plans to expand to Pune and Hyderabad in 2023, in addition to its existing locations in Gurgaon and Bangalore. With a total seating capacity of over 2000, these new locations will help the company accommodate its rapidly growing workforce.

Axtria will significantly expand its headcount with over 1,000 data scientists, software developers, and data engineers across its office locations in the country in the next 8-10 months. Axtria is also preparing for aggressive campus hires in the next two years. For 2023, the team is already in conversation with the placement cells of leading IITs and other premier engineering and Management colleges.
