The Cost of Being a Hero || A True Story of Teachers’ Sacrifice

Across the United States, teachers must fund supplies for their own classrooms. This is the case at Peshine Avenue Elementary School in Newark, NJ. When Axtria visited Peshine to deliver iPads and other learning materials, the teachers amazed us with their honesty and emotion towards the situation. From buying and washing fresh sheets for the students, to lighting incense and purchasing bean bag chairs, these heroes put their students at the forefront of their actions. It is through sheer determination, strength, and a love for education that teachers extend beyond time and money to achieve educational excellence for their students.
